Its base is GSM, GPRS and GPS technology.

All it needs to get started is a SIM card of any network, with enough credit to make calls and send text. We advise a SIM contract on a monthly basis so you never run out of credit, specially in an Emergency.

The set up is very easy and is done through a series of commands sent via SMS. You don’t need a computer to set it up. One of its options is the possibility to receive periodically via SMS the devices position, or for the device to send us a warning if a certain speed has been exceeded in any given moment.

You can make emergency calls just by pressing a single button. We can pair up to 3 different numbers.

We can also call the device with any of those paired numbers to listen in to what’s happening without anyone knowing. Also with a missed call or a text we can locate its position at any given time. If the phone has internet you can visualize via a map the position of the Vigilant S.O.S at the time you sent the SMS.

If your phone doesn’t have internet you can open Google maps on your computer and fill in the coordinates to view its position.

If the GPS device doesn’t find enough satellites it will send the last known position. To validate this position the text includes the date of that position, allowing us to know when the device passed through those coordinates.

If the system detects that there is a battery life lower than 30 % it will also send us a warning, although we recommend you charge it every day.
