There is an incompatibility between some Firebird servers and certain versions of Windows that causes the RAM memory consumed by the server process to grow indefinitely.
This bug has been detected and fixed in the latest version of Firebird.
The following explains how to detect the existence of the problem, and if so, how to fix it.
To check memory consumption of your Firebird server, open the Windows Task Manager and go to the Processes tab. Locate the name fbserver.exe process and observe the memory usage column. If this value exceeds 200,000 KB then you might have to upgrade your Firebird server.
To upgrade your Firebird server, follow this guide, or contact our support team.
