In this section the Vigilant's support team will solve any query you may have.

How can we set up Vigilant systems to share data between computers on a network?

All Vigilant systems allow you to access data from different computer users without restrictions.

There are two possible situations:

For systems that are based on Firebird database (Security CS, Key Monitor and Access Control):
You don't need to change anything in the configuration of your computers. All you have to do is indicate to the client programs the name of the computer that hosts the server. This can be done during the installation process, or at any time from the configuration screen (Tools - Configuration - System folders - Change connection with the server).

For systems that are based on Paradox database (Vigilant 2000 Security, Basic Downloader and Attendance Control):
The configuration is very simple, although it must be done by a person that has sufficient technical knowledge and has administrative access privileges. In this guide we will show you how to do this.
